		<description>For linux, have a look into tiling window managers. XMonad is popular, although I personally prefer WMII. It automatically tiles all of your windows, very nice when opening and closing new terminals.

An added benefit is keybindings for pretty much everything, particularly for switching between virtual screens. You seem to be using about 2, I find it nicer to use around 10 :) I only started using so many when  they were this easy to move around.</description>
