fREWdiculous!

Today the power was out from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm and I figured that it would be quite opportune to see if my latent super power was seeing in the dark. I agree that that would be a pretty boring super power, but who ever said it had to be awesome? Anyway, I took a shower for about half and hour in the pitch dark since the power was out and I never saw anything but my watch hands. I am can safely rule out seeing in the dark.
Stay tuned and we’ll find it yet!

I wait in eager anticipation to see which one you have! But how can you safely test all of them? For example, what if your super power is flying, but it only kicks in after you’ve fallen for 10 feet? Or what if it works like the Matrix and you have to “free your mind” first? Nobody passes the jump test the first time…
Fjord: I totally understand what you are saying. I have a couple ideas for stuff like that. For instance, the freeing of the mind may be capable in dreams, and I may re-cultivate my lucid dream skill for that specific purpose. Also, like the flying thing you mention, that may be possible with a dream-chemical combo. Normally people don’t sleepwalk because of a chemical their body produces that inhibits movement. I think my body gave me too much when I was little because when I woke up I couldn’t move my hands for about 5 minutes. Anyway, inhibiting that chemical may allow me to fall 10 feet in a dream and then begin flying in both dream and real life. Also: I could sky dive and then just not land.
Woah, you have lucid dream capability? I’ve been interested in that for a while. What’s your technique? I never got it to work reliably. There have been a few times when it just happened. But when I was actively trying for it, I only got it once (that I remember), and I slipped back into the dream pretty quickly.
Lucid dreams seem like a good place to test out all kinds of super power capabilities.
Yeah man, it’s cool. The main thing that I would suggest that I did was consistently ask myself if I was (were?) in a dream. No matter what was going on. Also a dream journal helps, because there are some things that can alert you to that you are dreaming. For example, I found out that a pretty large percentage of my dreams are on boats, so if I am on a boat, it might be a dream! There are also similar things with colors, although some people don’t even dream in color so that may not apply to everyone.
