I should get back to work on CPAN::Forum ( http://cpanforum.com/ ) and improve the module tagging tool so you could connect related modules.

You are definitely onto something. I started doing pretty much what you are talking about shortly after Andy Lester's rethinking-cpan charge [http://perlbuzz.com/2008/04/rethinking-the-interface-to-cpan.html]. Unfortunately I got distracted for a while but I started it back up last week. If you can wait a few weeks/months (it is the summer now where I am) it will materialize. If there's genuine interest in helping with this I might be able to get it ready for that kind of abuse sooner than later but so far its just me.
