We have the standard &quot;best practices&quot; B and D (strict, warnings), forced 5.10 (feature ‘:5.10′), one flavor of objects (MooseX::Declare), readability helper (English), miscellaneous utilities (Scalar::Util, List::Util, List::MoreUtils), random OO retrofit stuff (IO::Handle, autobox, autobox::Core), and date handling (Datetime, Time::y2038).  It looks more like &quot;what Schwern prefers for the applications he writes&quot; than like the next version of Perl.</description>
